Importing slices

Import named Aseprite slices, including 9-slice configurations.

What slices are

Slices are named rectangular regions you define in Aseprite. Ase2UE imports each slice as an asset, preserving its name and any 9-slice center.

Where slices go

Imported slices are placed in your source asset's output folder, named after the slice from Aseprite. 9-slice borders are carried over so UI elements scale correctly.

Steps

  • Create named slices in Aseprite
  • Enable slice output in your source asset
  • Import or reimport
  • Locate slice assets by their Aseprite names
